Meet Our Dedicated Team
Becca - Dental Hygienist-RDH
I grew up in Fowler where I have lived my entire life. I joined the GFD team March 2012 right after high school, and was fortunate to work as a clinical assistant until I was accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program at Lansing Community College. I graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist May 2017 and am very excited to see where my career with GFD takes me.
I married Jeff, my high school sweetheart, in July of 2017. We are enjoying married life.
My roles as a Dental Hygienists is to provide the best possible care to each and every one of my patients. Working for Dr. Gentner has taught me so much over the years, and her drive to better herself for her patients with new technology is very exciting. I absolutely love working in dentistry, especially with the great team GFD has built.
Emily - Dental Assistant

Kristie - Treatment Coordinator
Ever since I joined Dr. Gentner’s team as an assistant, I have been welcomed into a warm and friendly environment. I look forward to bringing the same feeling to our patients each day. I have been very blessed to have been offered a position of Dr. Gentner’s Treatment Coordinator. As Treatment Coordinator, I work with our patients to develop the best plan according to their needs. Using videos, models and brochures, I make sure the patients understand the different options Dr. Gentner is recommending- and what will happen if they choose not to get treatment. We want patients partnering with us for every step of their dental experience. I even help them coordinate their dental care with challenges such as schedules, health concerns, dental fear, insurance benefits, and financial responsibilities.
I am blessed to be a part of such an amazing dental team and look forward to building relationships with my team and our patients.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends at the lake. On June 21st, 2014, I married my high school sweetheart of 10 years. In our free time, we love to be outdoors and travel Michigan. We welcomed our precious daughter Addison to our family in July of 2016. We are so blessed and enjoy every minute with her.

Lauren - Hygienist
Nothing makes me happier than putting a smile on others faces. I love to make people laugh and have a passion for helping others. Growing up I was one of the few kids that loved going to the dentist. When I was a freshman in high school I knew that if I became a dental hygienist I would be able to help others have confidence in their smile and use my love of dentistry to educate patients.
I graduated from Owosso High School in 2013. In May 2018 I graduated from Lansing Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. I am extremely excited to see how much I will grow as a clinician at Gentner Family Dentistry.
I have two dogs Ozzie and Chief that keep me very busy. I love to take them swimming in the pond behind our house during the summer. We also go for a nightly run down the trails on our property. In my spare time I love to take advantage of the four seasons that Michigan has to offer by engaging in outdoor activities. My family and I enjoy spending most weekends in Northern Michigan.

I have so far found I couldn’t have picked a better place to explore this new territory. The Gentner team has been so great in teaching me the vast world of dentistry. I truly appreciate the compassion, and hard work everyone puts together to make patients feel at ease when they walk through the door.

Betty - Administrator
December 3, 2018 was my first day at GFD. I feel so blessed to be working for such a wonderful practice in my home town. I’ve always been fascinated by medical science. Dental health and hygiene play such an important role in a person’s overall health. The correlation between dental health and the effects on other aspects of a person’s medical well being is not commonly known by most people. Learning more is something that greatly interests me, so that I may be able to encourage more people to see the great importance of good dental health and hygiene. The advanced technology in this office is also very fascinating to me. I feel that there is so much for me to learn and help others learn in this job.
I grew up in St. Johns “Go Redwings!” I’m from the class of 1983. I graduated LCC as a Paramedic while working there as a Supervisor of Medical Locked Storage, Assistant EMS Instructor, and State Board Evaluator for EMS licensure. I worked for many years at Clinton Area Ambulance as a Paramedic, Supervisor, and Assistant Director. I also worked for many years at the American Red Cross. I’ve been very privileged to work with so many great people that I’ve learned from and shared so much with.
My husband, Dan, and I have four beautiful daughters that have given us the precious gift of thirteen amazing grandchildren. Jessica, Connie, and Kristine all work for the Lansing State Journal. Connie is also a US Marine Corp veteran. Jayleen is a full time student. My family is one of the greatest joys of my life.
I’m also an avid crafter and love going camping with my family. I also love riding my 1700 Road Star motorcycle. Spending time with friends and family always brings joy to my life.
